Hello Annebelle, Wow you are very brave to write such spooky tales that are also full of adventure. I look forward to seeing what else you will do. I love to write too. This is how I know your Dad. You are so lucky to be able to have the fun of sharing your work and creating things together. Whooo Hooo ;)

Here's a few more you might want to check out:

Simon Hayes who makes yWriter also has another beautiful free application for writers called Sonar 3. Sonar 3 is a very intuitive and handy submission manager. Also, programs like Open Office (sure most of us know about it, but I'm sure there's some new writers out there who don't). And then there's the much lighter weight Abiword and you can always use Softmaker's FreeOffice which is in my opinion the best free Microsoft Word alternative out there. Not only is it much more light weight than Open Office, but it actually has a lot of the main features that Word has right out of the box like Open Office and they work unlike the often buggy Abiword. And unlike Open Office it doesn't bog down your computer. And it has the option to switch to the "classic" keyboard settings for Wordstar geeks like myself.

Thank you for posting this, Rob. Great women authors need to praised, their works of art bandied about before our eyes, enticing us to read their tales of horror. Truth be told, great women horror writers whisper better stories into my ears than do those of most men. Hey, and I write of the Dark myself!

Admin: Do to some faulty settings, some comments have been lost. Ouch. The problem has been fixed, and at least one comment salvaged, the following one from Australian thriller author HMC. Her site can be found at http://www.hmcwriter.com/

HMC left the following:

As a writer who appreciates gore, April Fool's would have to be my favourite. The story kept me interested and I felt the tension and suspense.

Annabelle, below's a comment from my author friend Leigh M. Lane. For some reason, it didn't show up properly. But here it is:

Annabelle: I'm one of your dad's writer friends. I usually go by the pen name "Leigh M. Lane," and I'm a big fan of horror stories. I just wanted to tell you I enjoyed your three stories very much. I especially liked the ending of "Ashes." I think a good twist ending makes a good horror story. You are very talented, and I think you'll grow up to be an author just like your dad. Keep writing!
